It arrived ahead of time and fortunately I had two packages delivered and was at home because it was extremely heavy and I never would have been able to get it off my front porch and into the door. My son helped me with getting it on the bed frame and opening it up. Although I had read reviews that stated it wasn’t necessary to wait 72 hours for it to fill out completely, I found that it really made a difference in the firmness of the mattress. I tested it at 24 and 48 hours but found it somewhat softer than I prefer so for me waiting 72 hours was necessary.
I have found this mattress to be very comfortable. I also purchased a mattress pad to put on top of it to protect it and for added softness. I don’t know how long it will last but given the price I can buy another one if need be! I have spent a lot more on mattresses in the past that weren’t as comfortable and didn’t last until the “warranty” was up.

Initially, I was quite skeptical about buying a mattress online without trying it personally. However, it is better to do the transaction online during the pandemic, especially with the avocado Avenco trial period offer and its 10 years warranty. Personally, I prefer a firm mattress and did not believe a foam mattress can offer. When I saw the Avenco hybrid with both foam and innerspring, I decided to give it a try. The mattress indeed arrives in a box. I was quite happy that it's no lightweight mattress. It was quickly opened, and within hours it expanded. I have been sleeping on it for three nights. It is both soft but firm enough to support my back and is exceptionally comfortable. Only one minor improvement is suggested. It is to make the edges a bit firmer if it is technically possible. It is not a big problem since my mattress is placed on a platform bed. Everything else is excellent, very comfortable, supportive, and providing good rest.

I was looking for a soft mattress, but I didn't want to sink in it. I needed it to be a good combination of soft, yet supported, and this mattress gives it to me. The minute my friend sat on my bed, her reaction was priceless! She couldn't help but comment on how good my bed felt, and then proceeded to keep feeling up the bed by pressing down on it with her hand in different spots. I also have been seeing a lot of reviews on similar memory foam mattresses where some customers found tiny shreds of fiberglass in it. So I was scouring the reviews with a fine tooth comb for customer experiences. If it had even one person that found fiberglass in their mattress, I was like NOPE! So I was thankful to finally find one that had good reviews, at least more than 100+ of them, multiple images, even videos of what it looks like in real life, as well as no signs of anyone experiencing any fiberglass found within their mattress. I definitely feel like this mattress is worth the price and highly recommend to anyone that's interested in it!
